We all want what is best for our dogs and best is always natural. I would like to share a story with my personal experience and raw hide. Have you seen bone like rawhides in pet stores or dried pig ears? I purchased some dried pig ears for my little poms and we ended in the vet emergency clinic. I was unaware how sharp the pieces are when the dog chews them apart. My girl Viki was holding a piece between her paws and chewing away when it snapped and sliced her eye. Fortunatelly it was a surface scratch and her eye was restored with eye ointment and drops. It could of ended tragically and even thought it was a surface scratch she was in alot of pain. Later I researched and found lots of these “natural” hides are not only sharp but aren’t even hides and chemically treated. Honestly no one wants this for their pet. Alternative would be to purchase a food dehydrator and select what meats you would like to give your pet and dry them yourself. It gives you the peace of mind that in fact this is a natural treat and you can make the pieces size appropriate for your pet. If you find this too time consuming or just doesn’t fit into your schedule then I suggest Nature’s Protection Superior Care Rabbit Ears with Fish or Duck. They are a great size for small breeds and my dogs love them.
