Romlay Lifestyle & Grooming Solutions is built on the principle that appropriate care does not end when the grooming appointment is over.
I personally assess every dog and perform the complete grooming treatment myself. Based on the breed, coat structure and condition, skin, temperament and lifestyle, I develop an appropriate grooming and coat-care solution.
I then give the owner the knowledge, tools, personally selected products and home-care routine needed to continue that care between appointments. Where ongoing coat problems exist, I teach owners how to recognise changes and adapt their dog’s care accordingly.
Through regular appointments, I get to know each dog, follow changes in the skin and coat over time, and adapt both the professional treatment and home-care recommendations to the dog’s evolving needs.

For me, grooming is more than bathing, drying and styling. I begin every treatment by assessing the dog’s coat, skin, previous grooming and everyday care routine.
Based on that assessment, I select techniques, tools and products suited to the individual dog. I pay particular attention to correct coat preparation, gentle handling and methods that respect the coat’s natural structure.
I personally perform the complete treatment from beginning to end. This continuity allows me to get to know the dog, recognise changes and adapt the care over time according to its individual needs.
Specialist Grooming for Toy Breeds and Different Coat Types
Toy breeds may be similar in size, but their coats can have very different structures and grooming requirements. I adapt the preparation, techniques, tools, products and home-care guidance to the individual dog and its coat rather than applying one standard treatment based only on breed.
Curly/wool-type coats, including those of poodles, Maltipoos and other poodle-type dogs, require thorough preparation, careful detangling, correct drying and styling that supports the coat’s structure and shape. Long drop/silky coats require a different approach to tangling, breakage, movement and length, while double coats need methods that preserve their natural layers and protective function.
Pomeranians remain an important area of my professional and personal experience. Through years of practical work with the breed, I have developed a detailed understanding of their double coats, seasonal changes, correct preparation, styling lines and problems that can follow unsuitable grooming.
Correct Pomeranian care includes assessing the undercoat, gently removing dead coat, appropriate washing and conditioning, thorough drying and styling that respects the dog’s natural structure and silhouette. I avoid unnecessary shortening and methods that do not respect the coat’s natural structure, protective function and growth cycle.

Coat Restoration and Support for Difficult Coat Cases
I also work with dogs whose coats are thin, damaged, uneven or slow to recover following clipping, hormonal changes, prolonged unsuitable care or other challenges.
For these cases, I develop an individual grooming and coat-care programme. I assess the coat’s current condition, adapt bathing, conditioning, drying and brushing methods, and select products and a home-care routine appropriate for the individual dog.
This is a separate specialist area within my broader toy-breed and coat-care practice. It is particularly relevant to Pomeranians affected by coat loss or recurring coat-recovery difficulties, while also being available for other dogs with appropriate difficult coat cases.
The best results can be achieved when the owner has completed an appropriate veterinary assessment, relevant laboratory testing and, where possible, obtained a diagnosis before beginning a coat-care programme. This information helps me understand factors that may be affecting the skin and coat and tailor the grooming, coat care and home-care routine to the individual dog.
Grooming support for canine alopecia and other coat changes does not replace veterinary diagnosis or treatment. When appropriate, I recommend veterinary assessment while focusing my own work on careful external care, protecting the existing coat and supporting the best possible conditions for its natural cycle.
In many cases, significant improvement in coat quality, density and appearance is possible, although complete coat recovery cannot always be guaranteed. My goal is to achieve the best possible result through professionally guided care, monitoring progress and adapting the approach according to how the skin and coat respond.

The professional treatment is the beginning of the solution, but the results are maintained through appropriate care between appointments.
Following my assessment and treatment, I explain what the individual dog needs, how to use the recommended tools and products correctly, and how to establish a realistic home-care routine. My goal is to give owners the knowledge to recognise changes in the coat and adapt the care at the appropriate time.
For dogs with ongoing coat difficulties, including thin or vulnerable coats, maintenance may become a long-term process. In these situations, I develop an ongoing care approach suited to the individual dog, seasonal coat changes and its current needs, while giving the owner the knowledge and tools needed to maintain that care at home.
In this way, Romlay connects professional grooming with practical solutions that owners can apply sustainably at home.

No two dogs are identical, even when they belong to the same breed. Before treatment, I consider age, temperament, relevant health information provided by the owner, the condition of the skin and coat, previous grooming, the home-care routine and the desired result.
I explain what is realistically achievable, what I recommend and what the owner can do at home. My goal is not only the result of one appointment, but better long-term care and a clearer understanding of the dog’s needs.
Education for Dog Owners and Professional Groomers
Education is an important part of Romlay Lifestyle & Grooming Solutions.
I help dog owners understand correct brushing, bathing, tool and product selection, how to recognise changes in the coat, and how to maintain it between professional appointments.
Through workshops and professional groomer education, I share practical knowledge about coat preparation, scissoring, anatomy, toy breeds, Pomeranian grooming, correct double-coat care and approaches to difficult coat cases.
My teaching is based on real salon cases, practical work and methods I use in everyday professional practice.
Personally Selected Products & Tools for Home Care
The Romlay shop is an integrated part of the Lifestyle & Grooming Solutions approach. The professional process begins with understanding the individual dog and its coat, continues through an appropriate grooming solution and is supported at home by suitable products, tools and a sustainable care routine.
I personally select and test grooming cosmetics, tools and coat-care products, while the shop also offers carefully selected food, supplements, treats and other products for everyday care.
The product range is being developed to support the different grooming and home-care needs of curly/wool-type coats, long drop/silky coats, double coats and other coat types found among toy breeds.
My current selection includes Hyponic, Tauro Pro Line, DERMAGIC, Iv San Bernard, Nature’s Protection and Hydra, chosen to address different coat, skin, grooming and everyday-care needs. The Romlay shop will continue to expand with additional specialist products as the range develops.
